Short Term Emergency Loans

The Short Term Loan program is comprised of funds donated by alumni for the use of Georgia Tech students to fund their education and unexpected emergencies. Applications for Short Term Loans to be utilized to pay tuition and fees must be submitted by the appropriate fee deadline. The funds must be repaid during the term in which they are borrowed. Non-repayment prevents the borrower from registering for future terms and from receiving a transcript or diploma. It is the policy of the Institute to deny loan requests from students who were late repaying previous loans and not to lend to students in consecutive semesters. All outstanding bad debts to the Institute are subject to credit bureau reporting.

This program is totally self-supporting.

Should you require an emergency loan, please contact the Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid (OSFA) at (404) 894-4160 for additional information.
